The equipment blows air at high velocity in a vertical direction, creating a “curtain” that prevents the exchange of air between the inside and outside. In this way a temperature can be maintained and thermal losses are avoided.
What is the difference between a heated and an unheated air curtain?
Unheated curtains only generate an airflow that acts as a thermal barrier.
Heated curtains incorporate electric heating elements that heat the air, providing thermal comfort in cold areas or during the winter.
What is the minimum and maximum installation height of air curtains?
The installation height of an air curtain depends on its power, air flow rate and specific model.

What should be taken into account to ensure that the curtain is installed at the correct height?
- The curtain must be installed right above the door opening, centred in relation to the access.
- The closer it is to the upper edge of the opening, the more effective the air barrier will be.
- If installed too high, airflow is dispersed and insulation capacity is lost.
Are air curtains noisy?
No. Modern models have noise levels below 65 dB, similar to an operating air conditioner. They are designed to integrate unobtrusively into commercial environments.
What maintenance does an air curtain need?
Maintenance is minimal: just clean the grilles and air filter regularly to prevent dust build-up, and check the fan operation and controls once or twice a year.
How much does an air curtain consume?
Depends on the model and its use
- In ventilation: the power consumption of our models is between 200 and 290 W.
- In heating: consumption ranges from 2 to 6 kW, depending on the selected heating output.
Even so, air curtains help to reduce overall energy consumptionby preventing heat loss in the room.
Can I automate the air curtain with the door?
Yes. All our commercial models include door open detector, so that the unit automatically switches on when the access is opened and switches off when it is closed.
